This post is a bit of a short mash up. My usual OOTD along with a wee few words. I’ve found myself struggling to piece together words after my months of sheer glee. I’m aiming to work through this and continue writing. So please be patient with me whilst I get myself back into the groove, so to speak.
I’m a big fan of the checked trend. Whether it be on a dress, shirt or skirt you’ll find at least one item in my wardrobe each season. With spring pretty much here it’s the perfect trend to pull out in the bridge before the Summer prints hit the shops. I wore this dress out on a mindful walk the other week and wanted to share a few snaps with you before a few thoughts.
Now the darker months can really take their toll on you. I for one struggle. It’s relatively easy to shut the blinds/curtains as soon as you get in and keep out the outside world. Scoff a bit of choc and sit on the sofa. Whilst I love a lazy day like this if I do it a little too often I find myself feeling heavy and sluggish. To combat this I’ve found a few things I can do. For one, GET MYSELF OUTSIDE so that I can take in some fresh air. It gives me time to pause, reflect and focus on what I want to do. Secondly, KEEP BUSY. If my mind has too long to wander I end up worrying about silly things. Keeping it focussed is key for me. TREAT YO’SELF. Like I need an excuse. But a new outfit or a new makeup item can really perk me up.
