When I was expecting with Jasper, I remember worrying about the lack of sleep that was to come. Every person I spoke to would make little comments about how I’d become a sleep deprived zombie. It made me a little apprehensive to say the least. So I did what I always do, research. Of course this method doesn’t work for everyone but it has worked pretty brilliantly for us since Jasper’s first week.
Start with the 4 B’s.
What are the 4 B’s I hear you ask? Well they are:
As much as I love feeding Jasper and reading to him, my favourite part of all of this is bath. As a huge bath lover myself I’ve tried to be careful of what products I use on him to be cautious of his perfect plump skin. When Infacare asked if I’d like to try out their Night Time Baby Bath I jumped at the chance. I’d been using Asda’s baby bath with lavender, Dove’s Baby Bath and tried Johnsons all being left a little unimpressed. It’s not that they were bad products, just lacking that something more. Jasper would often feel a little dry afterwards and I’d be rubbing oil back into his skin to retain the moisture.
Let me tell you what I loved about this product:
- It’s affordable. The cost of a 750ml bottle is £2.50. That’s a lot of bubble bath for little cost.
- A squirt gets you a long way- I have only used a little bit each time and had bubbles a plenty (evidence below!)
- The scent is lovely- without being over powering- I do not want my baby to be suffocated with a scent that completely covers them. Let’s try keep it natural. This offers a mild sweet scent leaving them smelling clean.
- It’s gentle on the skin- Jasper’s skin didn’t feel as dry as it usually does after a bath. I still applied oil but I could tell a difference after a week or so.
I actually even used this in my own bath because I liked it so much. Unfortunately my skin didn’t come out as smooth as Jasper’s, but that’s babies for you!
What is your favourite baby bath product?
