I absolutely adore those days where you get to put on that dress and feel 10/10. Add to the mix hours of time to prepare and doll myself up and I’m overly happy and relaxed. It makes a nice change from the usual rush job in a morning to get myself up and awake before work. I picked up a dress from Matalan a few months ago with a friends wedding reception in mind and stored it away forgetting its beauty. However, my face lit up with joy and excitement when I reopened the wardrobe to find it was every bit as lovely as I remembered.
A beauty of soft pastel florals mixed with this modern cut. The dress is a size 16 and fits me perfectly. It literally is like slipping on a glove. Unfortunately I couldn’t find it in store on my recent visit but did find something similar (linked below).

I’m not sure what it was about this evening, the sun was shining, the bride was breathtaking and the guests were giggling. I suppose you could say this was the first time in a well I’ve felt this happy and content with me.
If you read my blog you’ll know I’ve been experiencing pregnancy for the first time round and discovering the lows and highs. I’m extremely grateful for this blessing but I had been over tired and a quite nauseous for what seemed like months (that’s because it has been months). The second trimester however, has been a treat so far. I finally feel like I’m getting that ‘glow’ people coo over.
I’d like to thank Mr G for taking these photos as he really has caught one of the best sides of me. He’s becoming an excellent photographer and deserves a round of applause for putting up with my ‘just one more’. Now that the bump is making its way into pictures I get all giddy looking over these photos seeing that it’s now becoming evident that I am indeed pregnant.
I’d like to thank Em for the belly rubs and cuddles which were completely welcome.
