Are you one of those girls that spends a little too long getting ready for a date? Really trying to nail the perfect look? You’re not alone. I really do enjoy taking my time when it comes to getting ready for an evening out with husband. I’m actually pretty similar when it comes to weekend outfits. I think it’s probably due to the fact I wear ‘suitable’ clothing for work and I really just want to let my creative mind run free.
Statistics show some men prefer a woman to doll herself up, whilst others get irritated waiting. I’m pretty fortunate, that if we’re going somewhere nice Mr G is usually pretty patient and understands that the look is worth the wait. To many this could be a bit of a pain, or even boring. I’m pleased to have the happy medium that I can spend time getting ready or be found with a messy bun, joggers and a hoodie munching on a pizza slice.
On Sunday we decided to pop out for a natter over a coffee and I took the time to get ready. I really do take a lot of joy in dolling myself up. It’s not for everyone, but it’s lovely to feel good in your skin. Good clothing, and a look that I’ve taken pride in give me confidence. Confidence is something which my husband states is one of the reasons he took a fancy to me. We met at 17 and I was limited with confidence then, unaware or even unaccommodating of the happy/carefree inner me trying to reach the surface. As time went on, and the plus size community was brought to my attention I quickly began to blossom.
This beautiful dress is easy to pair with a leather biker or black coat to have an easy stylish look. I’ve added the necklace for a little ‘jazz’ but it would look just as beautiful without. I’m a sucker for long sleeved tops (especially in this weather).
You too can have a bit of a giggle understanding the modern day values of both men and women through Yours Clothing’s ‘Check Me Out’ game. But remember, whatever the outcome, being happy and positive in yourself is the best attribute of all.
