Why Yours Makes Me Feel Good

Everyone in the plus size community has heard of Yours Clothing. Whether you’re an avid shopper, a ‘Win it Wednesday‘ retweeter or a supporter of the plus size industry. The strong likelihood is that they appeal to YOU.
My love for Yours Clothing began when a family friend (who I now refer to as my Plus Size sister) became one of the faces of the Yours clothing campaign back in 2015 and I was super impressed to see such a diverse range of models.  It was proof that EVERYONE, inclusive of all ages, races, size and shapes could find clothes which made them look and feel great. I know it’s not exactly rocket science but even as a size 16, I grew up wearing oversized clothing unsure of what would fit my body. Shame on me. If I’d known about Yours and their legacy sooner I’d have been fabulous at 15!
I’ve written a number of posts featuring Yours myself, and you, my wonderful readers, tell me how much you love them, SO now is the time to share that love! I reached out to several bloggers who hold a candle for Yours to see why they look and more importantly feel good in Yours Clothing. The first on my list was of Em from Terrible Tumbles. AKA my ‘Plus Size Sister’.

I can see what Em means, Yours has extremely strong morals in all of its campaigns. It focuses on fabulous fashion for all.
I then reached out to Chloe Pierre, who told me about her first experience with yours clothing and what an impact ONE dress from the company’s range made to her confidence.

Chloe told me more: “I wore this dress for New Years Eve 2015 celebrations and honestly, I wasn’t, in any way, body positive at this time. I had fallen in love, life was changing as well as my body and coming to terms with this was extremely difficult for me”.
It’s amazing what a good item of clothing can do and I’m SO pleased Chloe saw the light as she is honestly one of the most beautiful bloggers I follow. The best part of all? This item has become a timeless classic for Chloe and features in shoots for her blog and has even been on display at Glastonbury Festival.
Fashion doesn’t stop when you become pregnant – Did you know that Yours also feature some amazing Maternity clothing? How Kate Does Fashion told me a little about her experience of the Bump It Up Range:

Kate told me that this dress changed her opinion on maternity wear. She said “I have NEVER been an advocate of Maternity wear if I’m honest as I’ve more often than not found it to be frumpy boring but this dress (and the Bump It Up range generally) COMPLETELY proved me wrong. The dress is glamorous, INCREDIBLY comfortable and both of those feelings are hard to come by when you’re pregnant haha. Not only was it a great Maternity dress but it’s also brilliant to wear post pregnancy and will continue to be a staple in my wardrobe!”
Another who had nothing but praise for the Maternity range at Yours is none other than Elena (Frivolous Mama).
For me, in order to invest in a brand, I need to know that it has integrity and that it truly cares for its customers. Through experience, Yours does just this, all whilst making us look REALLY good! (5).jpg
Not only did Elena tell me that finding maternity clothing at a size 24 was incredibly difficult during her first pregnancy, but that her 66 year old mum also is a regular shopper at Yours! She told me “I lived in their leggings, vests and maxi dresses which were not only super comfortable but fitted my growing bump perfectly”.
Yours have always appealed to me as one of the pocket friendly plus size brands. We’ve all been there and paid over the odds for clothes to fit our body. This is an opinion widely shared between the plus community and Becky Barnes picked up on this exact point. She told me “This picture is probably 18 months old, and both jeans and top are from Yours Clothing. The reason I chose this one is two-fold, I remember how amazing I felt in this outfit”. Yours have a skill of keeping things reasonably priced, but stylishly chic meaning they can reappear in your wardrobe again for years to come.

I couldn’t complete this post without putting my two pence in and having the opportunity to showcase one of my favourite pieces from Yours’ range.

I featured this post on my blog before Christmas and received some wonderful comments from my readers. I really felt glamorous and stylish in this piece and it gave me a sense of confidence (whilst allowing me to eat lots of cake due to the perfect fit and shape of it!)
Yours Clothing’s website states their beautiful mission:
“Yours Believe that all women should look awesome, regardless of their dress size. Fabulous ladies curve fashion does not end at a size 14, and we’re the proof”.
Speaking with so many inspiring women from the blogging community it’s only reinforced my opinion that Yours Clothing care about their clients. They offer affordable, fashionable choices for a wide range of women. If you’re looking for a brand with strong morals, oozes confidence and is pocket friendly look no further.
Finally, Yours Clothing are truly “YOURS” in every essence of the word. They consider style, fit, comfort, elegance even a bit of va va voom.

  6. What size does Yours start at? I’m a 12, but curvy so really struggle with high street blouses and shirts sometimes – my chest and hips just need a bit more room!
