So with most of us back at work now, I thought it would be apt for a post of work wardrobe. I’m terrible for retreating to plain things at work. However, in the January sales I managed to pick up a shirt that is EXACTLY what I wanted.
I am so excited to share this look with you as I am in LOVE with it. Last week, I purchased this shirt in Tesco F&F clothing (you know I’m a big fan ever since this post). Oh and of course, it was in the sale. I want to say it was £7, but I can’t remember exactly as I ripped the tag off with excitement as soon as I bought it. They have tons of similar blouses on their website just search ‘ruffle’.
I have been in love with the ruffle trend ever since my friend Kat wore a bell sleeve jumper. I’m not entirely sure why I compare these but it’s the added details to the top that really sold it for me. Please, if anyone sees a bell top like the one Kat’s wearing in her post please alert me, I’ve been hunting for so long!
The Top has stunning details and fits perfectly (it’s a size 16). The material is made out of a white cottony style print with small geometric marks on that just add a little more to this already extravagant yet elegant shirt. I, of course, had to jazz it up even more with corkscrew curls and my Maria Morietti Mac lipstick. Why the heck not?
No Shrinking Violet
I thought this would be a fantastic edition to my work wardrobe as I am ALWAYS looking for a white shirt and I endeavour for the new year to make more of an effort with my workwear. I paired it with these simple black trousers, but you could even jazz these up with the Elvi ones I posted previously. Let’s be honest too, any colour would look great with it as you can’t beat a classic white shirt.

The ruffle detailing follows around the shoulder mark so from every angle you will look fabulous. Oh and a tad vintage.
I will probably mix this top up with skirts as well as the weather gets warmer but in this nippy weather, trousers for the win!
As I’d based my look on pretty simple black and white I decided to match the lipstick with a pop of my favourite Red Osprey bag.
What have you picked up for your work wardrobe?
