City Styling with Simply Be

Anyone who has been following my Instagram feed will see that I have just visited Rome, and though sad to leave this beautiful city I am happy to see my own bed. It wasn’t my first time in Rome but as they say Roma Non Basta Una Vita (Rome, a lifetime is not enough) so I am sure I will return again (I threw that coin with such ambition into the fountain I best do!) No Shrinking Violet

When Simply Be were kind enough to offer to send me a piece to wear around the city I instantly felt attracted to this Rib Maxi Dress. Not only is it super comfortable, it is the perfect/softest material for walking around a city and trekking as I did, around St. Peters.

Dress*: Simply Be
Belt: River Island
Trainers: Adidas similar here
Rucksack: New Look

I was not without my anti-chaffing pants as any other thigh-full gal will know, we simply cannot explore a city without them.

The weather was beautiful, sunny with a light breeze, meaning I could truly appreciate the fabric of this dress. I was neither too hot (even after climbing to the top of St. Peters Basilica) nor too cold so thank you very much Simply Be, bravo on top fabric.

I’m usually a little weary about wearing anything so figure hugging without shapewear, but this dress is truly figure hugging and I added the belt to define my waist. I’m wearing a size 16 here and I’d say it’s true to size with a little give so you could size down if you want it REALLY tight, but this was perfect for me as I needed room for Gelato and Pizza.

One final thing to note, is that this dress comes in two colours (hurrah for choice) you can get it in Ink Marl or Grey Marl, I’ve featured the Ink Marl here and I LOVE it.

Finally because in Rome, this post would be incomplete without a classic Tourist shot, so here you are… and you are most welcome. No Shrinking Violet
